Since 2001, storyteller Rob McCabe has been delighting audiences with his unique brand of storytelling theatre where he weaves a magical web around his listeners and holds them captive until the end of his programs. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts and a Masters of Science in Library and Information Science, and has worked as a youth and young adult librarian. He is a member of the National Storytelling Network, the Detroit Story League, the Parent Tellers, (a group of storytellers who perform stories in school settings), the North Oakland County Storytellers, the Ann Arbor Storyteller's Guild, the Detroit Puppeteers Guild, the Puppeteers of America and the Ann Arbor magic Club.
He loves telling folk and fairy tales from around the world and especially loves stories from the Greek and Roman myths he heard from his father who introduced them to him as a child. He has also performed in two Fringe Festival settings; one at the Northlands Storytelling Conference in Madison, Wisconsin in 2006, and the Lehigh Storytelling Festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in 2008. Mr. McCabe is also a published writer on www.story-lovers.com. He has performed throughout the metropolitan Detroit area and other areas of the country.
